Jean-Carl Johnson
Hi there!
I am J-C and I am the founder of Wave Warriors who is dedicated in teaching and training you on becoming a passionate bodyboarder!
I have been Bodyboarding for over 13 years and the sport has grown my passion for the ocean and waves as well as the necessary skills and knowledge to have become a Wave Warrior of my self!
CAREER OVERVIEW

J-C Johnson started his Bodyboarding legacy at the age of 11 years old when he relocated with his Mother, to the Sunny South Coast of KZN, South-Africa. With a great passion for the ocean, he immediately thrived to start catching and riding waves on a "Boogieboard". The art form of riding waves on his Bodyboard became his life!

J-C Johnson spent all his free time after school and during his holidays, bodyboarding for hours long. J-C's lifestyle revolved around the next surf session he was able to make. With a heart filled with passion for riding the best waves he could find locally, he became skilled at the sport and felt confident enough to take on the competitive scene around the South Coast.

J-C spent endless time bodyboarding during any free time he had. J-C practiced and progressed as a grom bodyboarder and managed to represent two provincial bodyboarding districts and after years of practice,he reaped the benefits by earning a 2nd place at the national bodyboarding chamionships which was the highlight of his competitive career.

J-C's competitive career in bodyboarding and the sport thereof, brought many aspiring riders with the same passion for the ocean and the sport, together. J-C made friends from all over the country and in turn, friends for life. The stoke and gratitude shared between all Wave Warriors from around the country was priceless and forever warming.

Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life. J-C pursued his passion for the ocean and the will to help others by becoming a local lifeguard which granted him the slkills and knowledge to assist and in turn save lifes of those who are less experienced in the various unpredictable ocean conditions. Surf Lifesaving became J-C's proffession and career.

J-C spent 4 years of his life after school working as a professional lifegaurd and in turn had all the free time, working on all the central South Coast beaches, to perfect his personal styles of bodyboarding and free surfing. J-C lived his best life doing what made him the most happy. Being in the ocean and helping others!

As the years went by, J-C realised that he had the urge to see the world and applied to work as a professional Lifeguard for Disney Cruise Lines, over seas. He managed to be hired for the position as a recreational Lifeguard on Disney's private Island ' Castaway Cay" and completed a successful contract for their company and gained valuable skills, knowledge and experience to turn into a creative business venture of his own...

J-C Johnson returned from his quest working for Disney Cruise Lines during these tragic times and started developing his own business, "Wave Warriors KZN". J-C has dedicated his time to put together the opportunity to guide, teach, coach and share his skills, knowledge and understanding of the ocean and the sport of bodyboarding to people with similar interest and passions. Anybody is welcome and all are potential Wave Warriors.
